SUSTAIN
SUSTAIN is a first-of-its-kind industrial project aiming to deliver a sustainable UK steel industry by 2026. Research focuses on zero-carbon energy sources, reuse, recycling and ‘Industry 4.0’, and engages partners throughout the steel industry supply chain.
The project is an EPSRC-funded partnership including Swansea, Sheffield and Warwick Universities, together with the UK’s largest steel manufacturers and their supply chains.
Net zero carbon does not mean zero!
